I was born in London in 1961. In the 1980s I took an Art Foundation Course in the Midlands followed by a three year Degree Course in Fine Art Painting with Printmaking at Central St Martins College of Art in LondonAs a practitioner I aim to capture structure and surface detail with accuracy, however I also believe that the role of the artist is to enhance reality and emphasise key features in a way which goes beyond the capacity of photographic representation.
I produce oil paintings, drawings and etchings covering a range of subject matter including portraits, figure compositions, animals, still life, buildings and cityscapes. Some of my work is completed to commission and I also create works for exhibition, or simply for personal satisfaction.
I currently live and work in Bristol.
